Kimica corporation (Kimica) is a manufacturer and world-wide supplier of
"alginate",(alginic acid and its derivatives),
which is a natural polysaccharide. Alginates are extracted from brown
algae, which are in abundant supply in the oceans.
Was the first company in Japan which, in 1941, success-
fully mass produced alginates on a commercial scale. Since then,
Kimica has striven to be a leader in the alginate market.
In order to achieve this they have monitored the market requirements
and responded by upgrading their manufacturing technologies,
improving product quality and on-time delivery.
60years of success in Japan and international markets has made
it possible for Kimica to establish its first overseas affiliate in Chile,
Kimica Chile Ltda.
Chile is the largest source of seaweed in the world. In 1988 this
Kimica affiliate started commercial production of alginates and has
grown to be a world supplier of alginates like its parent, Kmica, who
are the largest manufacturer and supplier of Alginates in Japan.
Our R&D staff consists of seaweed industry experts from several
disciplines,(physical sciences, engineering, pharmaceutical and
agricultural backgrounds), who are devoted to the technical
advancement of Alginate production in order to respond effectively to
demands from the market place.
